Adrenaline first aired on WBFH-FM in the fall of 2002 hosted by Nate Bender and Kevin Baird. In these early years, Nate and Kevin were beginning to explore the punk genre playing bands like Pennywise, NOFX, Anti-Flag, The Unseen, The Casualties and others. During this time Nate and Kevin interviewed Ian MacKaye (Fugazi, Minor Threat, Dischord Records), Pat Thetic (Anti-Flag), Jason Navarro (Suicide Machines) and Toby Morse (H2O). Nate and Kevin also frequently had different segments like talking to their friend Omar and regularly talking to Kevin's mom. Very very few recordings from this era of Adrenaline exist, though some interviews are available here in the archives. Kevin left the show in May of 2002 and Nate took up hosting duties alone. During this time Nate interviewed Poison Jay (The Code) and brought Jason Navarro (Suicide Machines) back as a special guest host for an episode. Adrenaline left WBFH in May of 2003.Adrenaline came back on WMHW-FM from 2005-2006 with hosts Nate Bender, Kevin Mintus, and John Moran. The majority of recordings found on this site are from this era. It was around this time that music shifted to hardcore, crust, anarcho and thrash. Because Adrenaline was on a college radio station, we were very restricted in terms of content. Articles deemed 'too radical' were cut from the show and songs were heavily edited.

In 2006 Adrenaline was expanded to 3 hours with the additional hour dedicated to more mainstream bands. This hour was given the Adrenaline moniker and the previous crust and hardcore filled show was referred to as Adrenaline: Overdose. Shows proved cumbersome to produce and production dropped to bi-weekly. Adrenaline's final over the air episode aired on Thursday March 30'th 2006.
Adrenaline's final incarnation was as a podcast hosted by Nate. Only three episodes were produced before letting the project die in July of 2006. Currently, as of 2009, Adrenaline is not in production, but many tapes from 2005 and 2006 still exist. This website has been established as an archive for all remaining materials from Adrenaline Radio. As of posting this I am currently digging through my archives to post as much content as I can find. I have about a dozen mini disks with episodes on them as well as some of the old interviews. You can subscribe to our podcast feed to stay up to date on the latest Adrenaline Radio archive updates.
I was 16 when we first started doing this show, and I consider myself so very fortunate to have been able to play punk rock on the radio with some of my best friends. Thanks to everyone who ever listened and enjoyed the show and to anyone who may discover this show in the future.
